Testimonials

"Ace automotive fixed my car when no one else could. It was like magic!" Patti

"Excellent information. Tell the people what happened and let them learn for themselves. Professional quality site."

"Thanks a million! I was up and running again 5 minutes after getting off the phone with you. You were right on the money, it was the theft deterrent system. ... Once I disarmed the system manually with the key, the fuel injectors were back "on" again and the car started on the first try. ... Thanks again for the great service." - John

"I had a couple of problems with my 01 Grand Prix GT. First Randy helped me with a strange dilemma, I had a no crank condition, and when I turned on the ignition with a battery charger attached all kinds of strangeness ensued, the speedometer would instantly go to around 30, the driver information center would flash repeatedly at great speed, and the chime would sound different. After much painful troubleshooting randy suggested I have the battery checked, which I did, and it checked out as good. So I re-installed the battery, and voila the car started up without incident. Turns out I had what Randy called invisible corrosion, the cables looked fine, but there was an invisible layer of corrosion between the terminals and the cables. Learned a lesson that it's always best to clean your cables and battery terminals first when you have a electrical issue. The second thing Randy helped me with was a rough idle condition. The car ran fine at every speed but idle, where it surged between stall, 250/800 rpm. Randy suggested it sounded like a vacuum leak. I checked all hoses and all checked out good, then I inspected the throttle body and intake manifold. On the 3800 series 2 engine the intake manifold is separated into 2 parts, upper and lower. There is a gasket between these, and as I detected an increase in rpm when I sprayed brake cleaner around the fuel rails, I decided it would be worth a shot to replace the gasket between the lower intake and upper intake manifold. The lower is aluminum, and the upper is a plenum made out of some sort of plastic material. When I had the intake off the car I discovered about a pencil sized hole in the plastic intake directly behind where the throttle body mounts to the intake. Have no Idea how it got there, but repairing that hole and replacing the gasket made all the difference in the world! Runs great now! Randy was a pleasure to do business with, and he went the extra mile to help me get through this. I have a degree in automotive technology, and I needed help. Randy has the experience, and has seen if not it all, most things." - Ken
